1 box German chocolate cake mix
1/3 c. milk
1 c. pecans
1/2 c. margarine
1 package Kraft caramels
1 (6 oz.) package chocolate chips
Grease and flour 13x9x2-inch baking dish. Prepare cake according to directions on package. Pour 1/2 of
batter in pan and bake 20 minutes. Cook caramels, milk, and margarine in a saucepan over low heat until
melted, then pour over cake. Sprinkle nuts and chips over caramel layer. Pour remaining cake batter on top.
Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees, then reduce temperature to 250 degrees and bake 20 minutes. Top withCool Whip or chocolate icing.
